The BW family of machines distinguishes itself by its heavy duty construction and large working area, higher table loads and high rates of metal removal.

Specially designed spindle for heavy duty cycle runs in 2 pairs of super precision angular contact bearings on the wheel side and one pair on the rear side. The spindle head travels in the vertical column in large combinaton 'Vee' and flat ways to increase effective contact area to provide extra rigid support when drawing full horse power for heavy stock removal.

The traverse carriage carrying the column traverses firmly on large handscrapped guideways via electro mechanical drive. The drive provides intermittent cross-infeed and continous feed for positioning.

The table slides via hydraulic cylinder directly on the base on handscrapped wide guideways for maximum bearing load.

All guideways are turcite coated for smooth movement free from stick slip.

The Alex low pressure hydraulic unit is located inside the base which establishes a defined thermal state in the machine frame.

All inputs including hydraulics, bearings, electricals and controls are of internationally known make.

Optional: All models available with CNC controls for automatic grinding cycle including wheel dressing and compensation.
